number of women farmers, market growers and gardeners is increasing
- Virtually all available tools and equipment were designed for men
- On average, women have 40-75% less upper-body strength than men,
and 5-30% less lower-body strength. We also have smaller hands, which
means smaller grips, and are generally shorter than men
